Playing with friends safely

TamagoFit 2.0 lets you add friends, visit their islands and cheer each other on. We built it with one rule in mind: walking together should feel cozy, never exposed.
This guide is for players and for parents who want to know exactly how it works.
No chat, no free text, ever
There is no chat in TamagoFit and no place to type a message to someone. Friends interact through a few fixed, friendly actions:
- High-five a friend (once a day each)
- Cheer a friend on to walk today: if they reach their steps that day, you both earn a little player XP and a friendship point
- Visit a friend's island and say hi to their monster
Friendship never pays coins, so there's nothing to farm and no reason to collect strangers.
How friends are added
The main way is a friend code. Tap “Share my code” to send it (through the iOS share sheet), or “Enter a friend's code” to add someone who sent you theirs. Codes are best shared with people you actually know.
You can also send a request to an exact player name, unless that person has turned this off. A request by name always answers “Request sent”, whatever happens behind the scenes. It never reveals whether an account exists, whether someone blocked you or how their privacy is set.
What friends can see
- Your player name and avatar
- Your player level and title
- Your monster: its name, look, mood and level
- Your island
- Whether you were active today (you can hide this)
What friends never see
- Your steps or calories
- Your coins
- Your monster's hunger and sleep numbers
- Your timezone
- Your e-mail address
- Your real name
Player names
Everyone gets a unique player name of 3 to 16 characters. It is never your real last name or your e-mail. The first rename is free, then you can change it once every 30 days.
Names that are offensive or pretend to be someone official are refused. If a name slips through, players can report it (see below).
Your privacy settings
Open Settings > Privacy & Friends to choose:
- Find me by name: on or off
- Who can send requests: everyone, or friend codes only
- Island visits: allow friends to visit or not
- Show when I'm active: show or hide “active today”
- Cheer notifications: get a nudge when a friend cheers you on, or not
Blocking and reporting
Blocking is silent and works both ways. It removes the friendship and hides visits, cheers and requests in both directions. The other player is not told.
Reporting takes a tap. Pick a reason: offensive name, harassment or other. When several players report the same offensive name, that name is hidden until we review it. Our team checks reports quickly.
A note for parents
TamagoFit is for players aged 13 and up. If your teen is under 18, we ask them to check with a parent before any purchase. The game has no ads, and everything in it can be earned with coins from walking.
A good conversation starter: add each other with your friend codes and cheer each other on. It's a surprisingly sweet way to nudge the whole family outside.
